Description
Roman Sigov graduated with honours in sociology from the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”, Ukraine in 2018. He then worked as research fellow at the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology in the socio-economic quantitative research department. He took part in the project on studying informalities and was seconded to the Dublin City University, Ireland as invited scholar in 2019. Roman spent one year learning German language and studying ecumenism at the Paderborn University and the Johan-Adam Moehler Ecumenical Institute, Germany in years 2019-20. Back in Kyiv he was coordinating a project on Peacebuilding between religious communities in Ukraine before leaving for an Advanced certificate programme in Ecumenical studies at Bossey Institute and Geneva University, Switzerland in 2021-22. Since the beginning of the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he communicated with various world-wide media the situation on the ground, his reflections on the happening, participated in i tentations conferences and also worked as fixer for international journalists (including Radio France) in Ukraine. Roman is now enrolled at the Master course in European studies at the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium.
